Grandma Clark's Chocolate Cake

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream cocoa , sugar , butter , salt , and eggs .cocoa: 6 heaping tbsp, sugar: 2 c, butter: 6 tbsp, salt: 1 pinch, eggs: 2

3Add baking soda to flour .baking soda: 2 tsp, flour: 2.5 c

4Stir in flour alternating with milk to cocoa mixture.milk: 2 c

5Add vanilla .vanilla: 2 tsp

6Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.

7Bake for ⏱️ 45-55 min . (toothpick test)

8Frost when cake is cool.

10In a saucepan bring brown sugar , white sugar , milk , and butter to a rolling boil for ⏱️ 2 min .brown sugar: 1 c, white sugar: 1 c, milk: 1/2 c, butter: 2 tbsp

11Add chocolate chips and beat until glossy.chocolate chips: 1 c

12Add vanilla .vanilla: 2 tsp

13Pour on cooled cake and spread.
